Supporting North American Women Growing International Small Businesses: Sharing Resources and Strategies

The Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA in Canada, USMCA in the United States, or T MEC in Mexico) recognizes the fundamental role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the North American economies, and seeks to promote increased trade and entrepreneurship by women-owned small businesses.

In this session you will:

  • Learn from U.S., Mexican and Canadian small businesses, small business counselors, and government experts about tools and strategies that have helped women-owned SMEs grow their businesses and increase sales in North America.
  • Explore more resources to help you trade across North America at https://www.sba.gov/tradetools linking to Trade.gov/USMCA; Mexico's T-MEC Website and Canada's CUSMA Website.

Participants can join this free virtual event via computer streaming or via phone. U.S., Mexico and Canada local access numbers are available.

III. Overview of Private Sector & SME Counselor Resources for Women-Owned Small Businesses with Q&A (30 minutes)

Learn from trade professionals across the United States, Canada, and Mexico about strategies and resources for women-owned small businesses to grow within North America and utilize CUSMA.

IV. Where to Go Next: Government Resources with Q&A (20 minutes)

There are a multitude of government tools to help you get started on your path to growth. Hear directly from government officials on how to tap into government programs and services for women looking to trade within North America.
